The company was established in 1960 as Gherzi Eastern Limited, a design & engineering consulting joint venture firm between Gherzi AG and the Wadia Group. On November 8th, 2012, pursuant to mutual agreement Wadia group raised its stake in the erstwhile Gherzi Eastern Limited (GEL) to 100%, and the name was changed to "Wadia Techno-Engineering Services Limited (WTESL)”
Since its inception WTESL has been a market leader and has helped shape some of the landmark constructions in the History of modern India. Continuously benchmarking with global standards and surpassing them is a mission of WTESL. This has seen the company grow from one location to having presence across many locations in India. WTESL is one of the oldest consultancy firms with headquarters in Mumbai with 4 regional offices in Pune, Kolkata, Delhi and Chennai.
